Nonprofit Status & Tax Exemption Notice

Effective Date: 02/07/2025
Last Updated: 03/02/2025

KindNest is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting maternal and child health by providing essential resources to pregnant women, new mothers, and infants in need.

1. Pending 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Status

KindNest has applied for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and is currently awaiting approval.

  • Until our 501(c)(3) status is officially granted, donations may not be tax-deductible.

  • Once approved, we will provide an IRS determination letter confirming our tax-exempt status.

  • We recommend consulting with a tax professional regarding any contributions made before approval.

Once KindNest receives official 501(c)(3) recognition, donors may be eligible for a tax deduction as permitted by law.

2. Use of Donations

All contributions to KindNest support our mission-driven programs, including:
Maternal and infant health resources
Assistance for new and expectant mothers
Community outreach and support programs

Donations are used at KindNest’s sole discretion to fund these initiatives.

3. Future Tax-Deductibility & Donation Receipts

  • Upon receiving 501(c)(3) status, KindNest will issue official donation receipts for tax purposes.

  • Donors who contribute before approval may not claim tax deductions retroactively unless IRS guidelines allow it.

  • We will update our website and notify donors once our tax-exempt status is finalized.

For documentation or questions about tax exemption status, contact us at allie@kindnestproject.org.

4. Updates & Changes

KindNest will update this Nonprofit Status & Tax Exemption Notice as soon as our IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter is received.

We appreciate your support and patience as we complete the tax-exemption process!
