Nonprofit Status & Tax Exemption Notice
Effective Date: 02/07/2025
Last Updated: 03/02/2025
KindNest is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting maternal and child health by providing essential resources to pregnant women, new mothers, and infants in need.
1. Pending 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Status
KindNest has applied for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and is currently awaiting approval.
Until our 501(c)(3) status is officially granted, donations may not be tax-deductible.
Once approved, we will provide an IRS determination letter confirming our tax-exempt status.
We recommend consulting with a tax professional regarding any contributions made before approval.
Once KindNest receives official 501(c)(3) recognition, donors may be eligible for a tax deduction as permitted by law.
2. Use of Donations
All contributions to KindNest support our mission-driven programs, including:
Maternal and infant health resources
Assistance for new and expectant mothers
Community outreach and support programs
Donations are used at KindNest’s sole discretion to fund these initiatives.
3. Future Tax-Deductibility & Donation Receipts
Upon receiving 501(c)(3) status, KindNest will issue official donation receipts for tax purposes.
Donors who contribute before approval may not claim tax deductions retroactively unless IRS guidelines allow it.
We will update our website and notify donors once our tax-exempt status is finalized.
For documentation or questions about tax exemption status, contact us at allie@kindnestproject.org.
4. Updates & Changes
KindNest will update this Nonprofit Status & Tax Exemption Notice as soon as our IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter is received.
We appreciate your support and patience as we complete the tax-exemption process!
