Why I Created KindNest: A Journey of Motherhood, Compassion, and Community
Meet the Warner-Weld Family
Hi, I’m Allie Warner, the founder of KindNest, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting mothers and children in need. My journey to creating this organization started with something deeply personal, becoming a mother myself.
I live in Burton, Michigan, with my fiancé Jordan Weld and our sweet son Brady Jordan, who was born on June 6, 2024. Becoming a mom has been the most beautiful, challenging, and life-changing experience, and it opened my eyes to the real struggles that many mothers face, especially those without a strong support system.
The Heart Behind KindNest
When I was preparing for Brady’s arrival, I was lucky to have a supportive partner, family, and resources to make the transition smoother. But even with that, motherhood still felt overwhelming at times. I couldn’t help but think:
"What about the moms who don’t have this kind of support? Who’s there for them when they need help the most?"
I began donating baby essentials, clothes, and formula to moms in need. The more I helped, the more I realized the huge gap in resources for new mothers—especially for those facing financial hardship, lack of family support, or postpartum challenges.
That’s when KindNest was born.
What KindNest Stands For
KindNest is more than just a nonprofit it’s a community, a village, a safe haven for mothers who need support, encouragement, and essential resources. We provide:
DIY Care Packages with baby essentials & postpartum support.
Emergency assistance for struggling mothers.
A community of kindness because no mom should feel alone.
We’re here to say:

You are not alone.
My Vision for the Future
My dream is to grow KindNest into a place where every mother in need can find compassion, help, and a sense of belonging. One day, I hope to expand our services, provide grants for struggling mothers, and create a network of support that reaches beyond Michigan.
But I can’t do it alone.
